At first glance, the “I Love Me” retreat in Maryland may have looked like we partied and ate the whole time, but that is not true. It is simply part of a therapeutic approach that founder and Licensed Master Social Worker, Karlyn LeBlanc and her team takes as opposed to more formal methods. She believes women need a venue to relax, eat, drink, and vent; a safe haven to escape the stress of everyday life.   The first day, participants took part in a spa day, receiving facials, manicures, and pedicures; one lucky guest, Irma Bickham even received a full MAC makeover and fashion consult. The Louisiana chapter of Dinner with Divas met in Gonzales, Louisiana at Mike Anderson's on Saturday December 3, 2017. The theme was a winter wonderland, encouraging women to come out in their all white attire. Each meeting usually has a theme attached to it, which gives the gathering a special twist, a commonality, a thought, or a unique spin. At the end of the day, women will be women. "I can't find white. I'm too big for white," were some of the concerns voiced by our members. Therefore, the color red was added at the last minute. The Love Le Menu “I Love Me” retreat was in Hanover, Maryland April 10 th thru 12 th. Ladies from Louisiana, Chicago, Georgia, and Maryland attended. The agenda was filled with spa time, lunch, dinner, cruises, tours of Annapolis, shopping, sight-seeing, and empowerment sessions led by Karlyn LeBlanc, LMSW.
