The first day, participants took part in a spa day,
receiving facials, manicures, and pedicures. One lucky guest, Irma Bickham, won
a full MAC makeover and fashion consult, for being the first person to
book her retreat. Later that evening, the ladies ate with the Maryland Dinner
with Divas chapter at Mo’s Seafood, where the food was amazing. The ladies voted Mo’s Seafood a 5 overall.
At midnight, the ladies and their dates boarded the Spirit Moonlight
cruise in Baltimore Maryland. Everyone was dressed in black and white. Each guest
received a personal photograph, black mask, leather Lust whip, goodie bag,
champagne, and delicious appetizers; many were lucky enough to win some of the
great prizes sponsored by Love Le Menu, Lust, Inc., Clever Container, and Mel’s
Creative Designs & Accessories. The ship sailed along the harbor for two
hours and guests were entertained by one of Baltimore’s hottest DJ’s; soul
train lines and hip hop dancing was observed. The ladies voted the cruise a 5
overall, the raspberry tea and potent drinks were talked about the most.
The next morning the
ladies toured beautiful downtown Annapolis, the capital of Maryland. The first
stop the ladies made was at the Banneker- Douglas Museum, an African American
museum, then the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Memorial, and lastly the Thurgood
Marshall Memorial. When the divas were
done with history they visited the local boutiques, galleries, and restaurants
along the dock. The great eats were crab
chowder from Dock Street Bar & Grill, steamed crabs, raw Maryland oysters,
and soft shelled crab at Mike’s Crab House on the harbor, and the best crab
cakes and fettucine crab & shrimp alfredo were eaten at Timbuckto.
