The Divas Traveled to Martha's Vineyard

Image
Love Le Menu Dinner with Divas traveled by land, air and the Atlantic Ocean to the beautiful Martha's Vineyard this past October. Eleven women, all from different walks of life, shared a large luxury home in Tisbury, Massachusetts also known as Vineyard Haven. Upon first glance at this house on the hill you notice the glass encased front porch and the beautiful spacious deck as you continue along the back of the home. You can’t go wrong when the tree sports a swing. The ladies enjoyed the culinary stylings of our own personal chef. A professional NYC culinary chef prepared breakfast, light snacks, dinner and drinks the entire vacation. And while we definitely spent money on food it wasn’t the biggest spend. And that’s a good thing because the diva’s believe in eating. Another special anecdote to remember our Dinner with Diva trips are very different in that we also travel with a licensed clinical therapist. These are not roundtable sessions. You won’t find a sofa to lay

I'm an Angry Black Woman

Image
I'm an angry black woman.  And many wonder why?  Could it be My mother and father divorced when I was three.  My dad was a drunk who abused my mom, but didn't harm me. A man so weak he couldn't hold his own. Should the list go on? My dad didn't put me on a pedestal and call me his little princess. He didn't protect me nor fight my battles. I'm an angry black women. I had to scream loud and tell everyone to get out my way. I had to wrap my own arms around me and say you'll be okay. I'm an angry black woman. I'm battling this world all on my own. No role model showed me how things should really be done. I'm an angry black woman. I didn't get any "I love you' s". No hugs.  No affirmations of beauty to enrich my soul. I'm an angry black woman.   I hurt every man I see. I break each one down and nibble at their flaws. I show him no respect  Giving a tongue lashing every cha

What are Happy Healing Bath Bombs & Sand?

Image
My daughter started a discussion with me about creating and owning a business. She said she wanted to start selling bath bombs. As an entrepreneur myself, I absolutely encouraged the idea. The thought occurred to market to individuals like me, people who are into natural healing, sensitive skin issues, stressed, the small black business owner, the person looking for true happiness. Words started jumping out at me. Organic! Natural! Relaxing! Healing! Happy! Our bath bomb must have all of these components. I could never use the mainstream market of bath bomb products from stores or any other bath product for that matter. As so evolved Organic Happy Healing Bath Bombs, for the woman who is sensitive down there. And the therapist in me envisioned individuals healing inside and out at bath time as they soaked their problems and ailments away. A prescription for relaxation, “me time,” meditation, an aromatherapy get away.   So we researched products and gathered the finest internat
